Job Attachments

The Diocesan Apprenticeship Programme (DAP) is a joint collaboration between DSOBA and CFC to provide opportunities for G10 - 12 students to gain working experience and explore their passion in different career fields through job shadowing and internships.

The goals of these programmes are as follows:

  • To deepen and widen students' understanding of jobs and career across industries.

  • To see how knowledge and capabilities are applied in the real world.

  • To strengthen students' preparation for advanced university studies and future internships / job attachments.

  • To help students develop network skills.

Details of the attachments provided by DAP, as well as external organisations, can be found in the link below. The list of attachments will be updated from time to time as and when the attachments are available. Please check for updates regularly.

  • CFC Job shadowing and Internship Availability: CLICK HERE (access with your DBS GSuite Account).

  • You will be required to complete an Application Form with a specific Job Code for each application.

  • You will also be required to upload your CV in the designated place in the Google Form. A template can be found here for your reference. Please download the .pdf file and TYPE to fill out the form if you would like to use it as your CV.

Job Shadowing  is a structured career activity where students can take an up-close look at the world of work. Students enter a host company to 'shadow' a mentor as he or she goes through a normal day on the job. This gives students a chance to understand the daily routine of their interested career. The objectives of job shadowing are to allow students to:

  1. Gain information about possible future career.

  2. Have a chance to observe the working environment and decide if the career is suitable for them.

  3. Know more about the requirements of the professions and industries to help them to be prepared to join the workforce and discover their potential.

Internship engages students in learning through practical worksite experience. It is usually for a specified period when students work for an employer to learn about a particular industry or occupation. The internship programme is an initiative to build the capacities of students wanting to understand different careers. It enables students to:

  1. Gain hands-on experience of a career.

  2. Improve or develop skills in a specific field.

  3. Test their suitability for a particular career.
