University of Chicago Summer Academies – Exclusive Pre-College Opportunities in Hong Kong

We are pleased to introduce an exciting series of summer programs designed to support the academic growth and university readiness of students in our community. The U.S. Commercial Service in Hong Kong and Macau is pleased to share with you a transformative summer learning experience offered by the University of Chicago’s Hong Kong Campus.

From July to August 2025, the University of Chicago’s Hong Kong Campus will host three intensive Summer Academies designed to provide academically motivated students with a unique chance to explore university-level learning and gain insight into the U.S. college admissions process—right here in Hong Kong.

Participating students can choose from the following programs:

1. Climate and Sustainability Summer Academy (New)Explore global environmental issues and sustainable solutions with guidance from faculty members of the University of Chicago’s Committee on Environment, Geography, and Urbanization.

2. Data Science Summer Academy (Second Year)Develop hands-on skills in Python, data analytics, and machine learning, led by faculty from the University of Chicago Data Science Institute.

3. Introduction to Public Policy Summer Academy (New)Examine how public policies impact our world and build critical thinking skills with instruction from the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago.

As part of the program, students will also attend an exclusive session with a UChicago admissions counselor to gain valuable insights into the U.S. university admissions process, including tips on writing compelling application essays and understanding holistic review.
